Mandy Marquardt
Mandy Marquardt is a professional track sprint cyclist, 27-time US National Champion, and 5-time US National Record Holder representing the USA Cycling National Team. She proudly represented Team Novo Nordisk, the world's first all-diabetes professional cycling team, for 15 years, and her career includes competing at the Pan American Games, UCI World Cups, and UCI World Championships.
Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 16, a doctor told her she would never compete at a high level again. She proved them wrong. In 2024, Mandy was recognized by the United Nations for Diabetes Advocacy and Leadership through Cycling. Off the bike, she is a passionate speaker, mentor, and advocate for everyone affected by diabetes, showing that no challenge is too great to overcome.
